Manchester City v Watford FC, 25 January 2014

The mighty Watford FC headed up to Manchester City for an FA Cup tie last Saturday, 25 January 2014. This was the second such trip in two years for the Hornets, though it came at a time when the club's league form hasn't been setting the division alight in quite the same way as in 2012-2013. By a fluke of timing and favourable results I found myself heading that way anyway, down from my home in Edinburgh, to stay with family. Further good news got me a couple of tickets in the corporate hospitality area – great view, great fun. You'll spot Ricky Hatton in one of these photos as well: just like most of the folk around us he wasn't too enamoured with City for the first 79 minutes (when they finally drew level with Watford at 2-2).
